Speaking as someone who used to recommend blogs frequently and got out of the habit this site is rekindling that impulse, and a look at zylavocapital extended the rekindling, the recovery of an old habit triggered by encountering work that justifies it is itself a small kind of pleasure and this site is providing that recovery experience.

So — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. Am UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could work out what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows returns straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s here odds converter — free, no signup.

What genuinely made a difference were the nerdier tools. There’s an implied probability thing which shows you the overround, and a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The layout feels a bit basic — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.

Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Just want to acknowledge that the writing here is doing something right, and a quick visit to almostfashionablemovie confirmed the same standards run across the broader site, recognising good work is something I try to do when I find it because the alternative is silence and silence rewards mediocrity.

Now adding this to a list of sites I want to see flourish, and a stop at HanaCapeCoral reinforced that wish, the few sites I actively root for are sites that produce the kind of work I want more of in the world and this one has joined that small list based on what I have read so far.

Adding this to my list of go to references for the topic, and a stop at nolarobond confirmed the rest of the site deserves the same, definitely the kind of resource that earns its place rather than getting forgotten the moment the next interesting article shows up in my feed somewhere else on the web.

Generally I bookmark sparingly to avoid building up a bookmark graveyard but this one earned a permanent slot, and a stop at premiumdigitalbuying extended that permanence designation, the few sites I keep permanent bookmarks for are sites I expect to use repeatedly and this one has clearly cleared that expectation bar today.

If patience for careful reading is rare these days finding sites that reward it is rarer still, and a stop at pelix extended that rare reward, the diminishing returns on shallow content reading have made me more selective about where to spend reading time and this site is meeting the higher selectivity bar consistently.

The clarity here is something I really appreciate, especially compared to sites that pile on jargon for no reason, and a look at ulviroline was the same, simple direct sentences that actually deliver information instead of dancing around the point for paragraphs at a time which wastes reader patience.

Just enjoyed the experience without needing to think about why, and a look at dondatheverge kept that effortless feeling going, sometimes the best content is invisible in the sense that you forget you are reading until you reach the end and realise time has passed without you noticing it pass naturally.

Came back to this an hour later to reread a specific section, and a quick visit to kazhanmaster also drew a second look, content that pulls you back rather than letting you move on permanently is the kind I want to fill my browser bookmarks with in 2026 and beyond as the open internet evolves.

Liked the post enough to read it twice and the second read found new things, and a stop at OldSchoolOpen similarly rewarded the second look, content with hidden depths that only reveal themselves on careful rereading is the rare kind that earns lasting respect rather than fleeting first impressions only briefly held.

So — have been messing about with this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mainly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I never could get my head round what an e/w payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the bit I use most — type in stake and odds and you get returns instantly, either odds format. There’s also the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at match bet calc and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that really made a difference was the nerdier tools. They’ve got an probability thing that shows the overround, plus a kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface feels pretty plain — no frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.

So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

So — been on this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return would be when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the part I open most — you put in stake and odds and it shows returns instantly, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. If you want a look, it lives at doubles accumulator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What genuinely changed how I bet was the nerdier extras. They’ve got an probability thing that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. Its design feels a bit basic — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.

So yeah. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If anyone still adds it up in their head, try it — saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Now feeling confident enough in this site to use it as a reference point for evaluating others on the same topic, and a look at ulvirocore continued the comparison friendly quality, sites that serve as quality benchmarks for their topic are precious and this one has clearly become a benchmark for me on this particular subject area.
