OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I never could figure out what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I open most — you put in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at each way odds calculator — free, no signup.

What actually made a difference is the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability converter which shows you the overround, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool is decent for when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout is pretty plain — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, try it — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way payout actually came to once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the one I open most — you put in stake and odds and it shows returns instantly, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at super heinz calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What really made a difference is the more serious tools. They’ve got an probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. Its design looks a bit basic — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was actually a bit daft — I could never work out what an e/w payout would be once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the one I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows returns instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, yankees, and that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at single calculator bet and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that really changed how I bet were the more serious bits. The implied probability thing that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its design feels a bit basic — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it works although the acca grid are a squeeze. And no proper app, just the site — slight shame just flagging it.

Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
